“ I had such a lovely time at The Deck Cafe and Restaurant. It’s this really nice, cute spot that feels super peaceful the moment you step inside. The staff were all friendly and made me feel really welcome which always makes a big difference. I tried their Hungarian crepe with chocolate sauce and honestly it was amazing. The crepe itself was fluffy and soft with just the right amount of powdery taste that wasn’t overpowering. The chocolate sauce was rich and smooth, coating the crepe perfectly without being too heavy. It was just a lovely balance that made every bite a delight. I also had their chocolate mousse and wow it was next level. The mousse was incredibly rich and creamy but still light enough to not feel too heavy. It had this deep chocolate flavor that was intense without being bitter, and the texture was so silky and smooth it just melted in my mouth. You could tell they really paid attention to the details to get that perfect consistency and flavor. To wash it all down I went with a citrus lemonade which was super refreshing. It had a nice zesty tang that really woke up my taste buds and was perfect for clearing the palate between bites. My mum got a green tea and she was really happy with it too, said it was very nice and comforting. All in all I would definitely give this place a 5 out of 5. The vibe, the food, and the staff were all spot on. Can’t wait to come back. ”
“ Great little gem on Gloucester Road - does cafe breakfasts/brunches, fresh cakes/pastries and also would highly recommend all the Hungarian specials. I try something new each time I come and am never disappointed. Staff are amazing and food is delicious. I believe its 2-4-1 Thursdays as well! ”
“ Brilliant service, very kind staff! Dori is a prepared and very kind business owner. The food is delicious, authentic. The service is fast and the food described on high standard on both language. The atmosphere is very calmed, really have the "feels like home". This place is not a typical hungarian restaurant, not specific for the hungarian kitchen. You can have healthy dishes, vegan, vegetarian or traditional pork/beef. You can have coffee with alternative ingredients. This place highly recommended!!! ”
“ Had their today’s special was really lovely. Just a reminder that the portions are quite big if you don’t usually eat a lot they do serve small portions (some of the items) Staff are very friendly and food served quite quickly. ”
